The next Catalan supremo will have the option to kick the new €41 million signing to the Camp Nou curb before July 20 should they decide he has no place in the squad
Barcelona splashed out €41 million on Atletico Madrid attacking midfielder Arda Turan on Monday and opinions seem split on whether or not he is a waste of money for the treble-winners.

Arda's detractors will be clinging to the prospect that he could be sent packing from Camp Nou once the Catalans' presidential race concludes on July 18. Barca have agreed a deal with Atletico to sell back the Turkey international if the new chief does not want him.

Although they would make a 10 per cent loss in such a scenario, it's arguable that €4.1m is pocket change for the European champions compared to the whopping figure they're due to pay if the player stays despite boardroom opposition.

In Arda's favour is that head coach Luis Enrique personally requested his transfer from the Vicente Calderon, where he has been an occasional thorn in Barca's side during Atletico's resurgence under Diego Simeone.

But with many Barca fans questioning whether he strengthens Luis Enrique's first-choice XI, would you support the new Barca president if he chose to kick out Arda less than 48 hours after getting the job? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below and vote in the attached poll!
