The Poland international will miss an important part of BVB's preparations for the 2015-16 campaign due to "muscular problems"
Borussia Dortmund have revealed that Jakub Blaszczykowski will miss the club's pre-season tour of Asia through injury.
The versatile midfielder made 20 appearances in all competitions last
season - nine from the start - but has struggled with injuries in
recent years and the latter stages of his 2014-15 campaign was
interrupted by a groin tear.
Now, in a blow for new BVB boss Thomas Tuchel, the Poland
international is set to miss a significant part of the Bundesliga
outfit's pre-season programme.
"Kuba won't be travelling to Asia with the team due to muscular problems," read a tweet from Dortmund.
BVB will kick off their Bundesliga campaign next month with a home game against Borussia Monchengladbach.
The 29-year-old Blaszczykowski joined Dortmund from Wisla Krakow in
2007 and has won two German titles and one DFB-Pokal during his
successful spell at Signal Iduna Park.
