The Bavarian side have strolled to the league title in both of the past two years under Pep Guardiola, finishing 19 points above Borussia Dortmund in 2013-14 and then 10 ahead of Wolfsburg the following year, having been top for most of the campaign.

And Lahm feels his team will not be able to walk to the title again this year, stating that it is no longer a one or two horse race.

"I do not see just one competitor," Lahm told Kicker. "It revolves around five teams, and then you will see who can keep up with us the longest.

"We need to concentrate on ourselves and we have to win our games.

"This has always been and will always be the case. We are leaders.
