Big match feature: Enyimba vs Kano Pillars

It does not get any bigger in Nigerian domestic football than the big game today when Enyimba welcome Kano Pillars in a Nigeria Professional Football League Week 24 encounter to Aba. The clash without a doubt will give everybody a clearer picture on which team will more than likely challenge Sunshine Stars and win the league at the end of the season.
By coincidence the two will be meeting exactly four months after they met in Kano with the reigning champions earning a slim 1-0 victory in Kano despite dominating the Peoples' Elephant for the full 90 minutes.

Statistics favour the hosts as Pillars have never won any game in their last eight visits to Aba. Granted the Masu Gida have netted 21 goals in their last 17 games, which is one better than Enyimba, but the People’s Elephant have scored 19 times at home against their visitors' 14.

Enyimba are second with 42 points from 24 games, while title holders Kano Pillars have 37 points from the same number of matches. But there is no doubt that the hotter team coming into this epic battle are the Pillars who simply flattened 3SC 4-1 last week while Enyimba puffed and panted to a 1-1 draw with one of the leagues weakest teams in Bayelsa United
