With pre-season friendlies well underway, Premier League sides are looking to finalise their squads for the the upcoming campaign.
Manchester United are looking to land Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba in what is likely to be the biggest deal of the summer - and of all time.
Their rivals City are are also looking to get onto the act, with John Stones' long-mooted move edging close.

Pato heading to Spain

Alexandre Pato rumours, how we’ve missed you.
After an underwhelming loan spell on the Chelsea bench last season, the Brazilian striker is set to move to Spain, where Villarreal are being linked with a permanent deal for the forward, according to Marca.
Currently at Corinthians, the former AC Milan star will set the Yellow Submarine back €3million for 60 per cent of his rights.
What about the other 40 per cent, I hear you ask?
Well they belong to the man himself.

Bournemouth line up Liverpool defender

Liverpool defender Brad Smith will join Bournemouth in a £6million deal, according to Goal.
Smith is flying back to the United Kingdom in order to complete his medical ahead of finalising the transfer later this week.
The 22-year-old had flown out of California with the Reds but has been swiftly flown back following Bournemouth’s approach.
Smith’s medical is planned for Tuesday afternoon.

Liverpool youngster heads out on loan

Liverpool youngster Allan is set to head out on loan to Hertha Berlin.
No official announcement yet, but the Brazilian has turned up on the German side’s Twitter at their training ground.
Allan has had loan spells at Finnish side SJK and Belgian team Sint Truden, but for complicated work permit reasons must again be farmed out if he is to play in England eventually.
This is a big step up for the 19-year-old and Jurgen Klopp will no doubt be monitoring his process closely.

Manchester sides duke it out for Jesus

Manchester United want to beat Manchester City to the signing of Palmeiras forward Gabriel Jesus, according to UOL Esporte.
Jesus has a minimum fee release clause of £20million and both Premier League clubs are reportedly prepared to better price in order to secure their man.
United are believed to have offered around £30million - a rise of City’s £26.8million bid.
Sao Paulo-based Palmeiras are believed to have an agreement in place that they will sell the player to the highest bidder.

Arsenal look to Germany defender?

Arsenal have held transfer talks with Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi, according to the Daily Star.
The Gunners are believed to be in the market for a new centre-half with Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny both set to miss the start of the season.
Arsenal are said to have held initial talks with the agent of Mustafi over the possibility of a summer move.
Reports also suggest that Arsenal remain keen on Inter Milan defender Jeison Murillo.

Liverpool in the money?

Liverpool could collect £100million in transfer fees this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The sale of Joe Allen to Stoke has taken the accumulative total this summer to around the £50million mark.
Liverpool have sold seven players in total this summer now following the departures of Jordon Ibe, Joao Carlos Teixeira, Sergi Canos, Martin Skrtel and Jerome Sinclair.
Christian Benteke is expected to follow in a move worth around £30million and further transfer fees could be recouped from the sales of the likes of Mario Balotelli.

Liverpool and Dortmund make Sissoko offers

Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund have both made offers for Moussa Sissoko, according to Le 10 Sport.
The France star is set to leave Newcastle this summer but Toon chiefs have slapped a £35million asking price on the midfielder’s head.
Reports suggest that offers - not quite hitting the asking price - have been made for Sissoko’s services.
He was one of the star men at the Euros this summer and it appears that Liverpool and Dortmund will now go head-to-head for the player’s signature.

Liverpool give up on Ben Chilwell?

Liverpool have officially ended their interest in Leicester full-back Ben Chilwell, according to Goal.
The Reds had a bid rejected for the young full-back earlier this summer and they were unwilling to increase their bid to match the Foxes’ valuation.
Leicester are believed to be prepared to offer Chilwell a new deal.
Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen on signing a new full-back but new targets are not believed to have been identified yet.
With Brad Smith set for a move to Bournemouth, Klopp wants competition for Alberto Moreno.

Leicester bid for Kapustka?

Premier League champions Leicester have reportedly made a £5.25million bid for 19-year-old Polish winger Bartosz Kapustka.
Sky Sports report that the Foxes are keen to land the teenager who was one of Poland’s most exciting players in the summer’s European Championship in France.
The Foxes reportedly enquired about Kaputska’s availability to his club side Cracovia during the tournament but have now followed this up with a firm bid.
Plenty of other clubs are in for the winger, with sides from England, Spain, Germany and Holland in the chase.

Carlos Tevez says no to Chelsea

Argentinian striker Carlos Tevez has claimed that Chelsea and Napoli want to sign him - but has quickly moved to dash any hopes of either side bringing him back to Europe.
The former West Ham, Manchester City/United and Juventus striker spent nine years in Europe before he returned to Boca Juniors in 2015, but he now wants to see out his playing days on home soil.
“I’m fine at Boca,” the 32, year-old told Corriere dello Sport.
“Indeed my idea, my dream is to finish my career as a player in this wonderful club.
“Europe? Yes, it’s true Napoli and Chelsea seek me, but I repeat what I said before. My desire is to stay at Boca until I retire.”
West Ham had also been linked with a move for their former star.

Is this why the Pogba deal is being held up?

Manchester United’s move for Paul Pogba is being held up by Mino Raiola’s extravagant agent fee demands, according to The Sun.
Raiola reportedly wants £25million for being the man to broker the world record £100million deal of the Frenchman from Juventus to Old Trafford.
United are Raiola are said to be happy for both clubs to pay £12.5million of the fee to push the deal through - but Juve do not want to pay a single penny of the cash.
The Serie A champions are reportedly insisting that United have to pay the money in full if they want to complete the deal.
Juventus chiefs are believed to be unhappy with how Raiola has conducted himself throughout the negotiations of the transfer.

Van der Vaart back in England?

Former Tottenham ace Rafael van der Vaart is being lined up for a sensational move – to Championship club Reading.
Reading’s Dutch boss Jaap Stam has held talks with van der Vaart, 33, and is confident of luring his former Holland teammate to the Madejski Stadium.
Midfielder Van der Vaart, who spent two years at White Hart Lane, helping Spurs into the Champions League, is looking for a club after being told he has no future at Spanish side Real Betis.
Van der Vaart, who despite having a year left on his Betis contract has been training alone in Amsterdam, said: “Everyone knows they don’t want me.
