PLUS: The Gunners are set to loan a former first team star out again while also preparing a double offer of £75m for two top
Arsenal have once again approached Inter Milan to try and get Marcelo Brozovic's asking price lowered.
The Croatian, who impressed at this summer's European Championships, has long been on Arsene Wenger's radar.
Inter want €30million and Gazzetta dello Sport report that their stance over that price has not changed.
The Gunners remain interested despite having added fellow central midfielder Granit Xhaka earlier this summer.
Arsenal to loan Szczesny back to Roma
Arsenal are set to let goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny join Roma for a second loan spell. The Pole enjoyed a successful spell in the Italian capital last term keeping eight clean sheets. GazzaMercato report that Szczesny has been given the OK to return for a second loan move. Roma will pay €1million and have the option of making the move permanent at the end of the deal.
Manager Arsene Wenger wants to bolster his attack after a lack of goals cost his team dearly in last season's battle to be champions.
The Gunners eventually finished as runners-up to Mahrez's Leicester, and now Wenger wants to ensure they make a sustained challenge for their first Premier League title since 2004 this season.
Winger Mahrez, voted Player of the Year by footballers' union the PFA last season, and Lyon striker Lacazette are top of Wenger’s wanted list.
Mahrez – who has three years left on his contract with the new champions – would cost around £35m.
Vardy RIGHT to snub Arsenal
Jamie Vardy made the right choice to snub Arsenal this summer – because he’s already playing for one of the country’s top teams.
The striker, who finished joint second alongside Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and one behind 25-goal top scorer Harry Kane, was the subject of a £20million bid by the Gunners ' boss Arsene Wenger last month.
But Vardy remained at the King Power Stadium, signing a new four-year deal that will ensure his best days will be played out in the Midlands.
“Jamie had a fantastic season,” said Morgan. “It’s to be expected that teams are going to be interested in him. But he has committed himself to Leicester now and it’s great for the fans, the players and the club.
Bellerin quells exit talk
Hector Bellerin has returned to training after his post-Euro 2016 holiday and the Spaniard reveals has quelled talk of a move to Manchester City by calling Arsenal "home."
A product of La Masia, Bellerin is thought to be on the radar of former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola, who is looking for added pace at right-back.
The Gunners are thought to be livid with City for unsettling the 21-year-old, but Bellerin has declared he is content to be back at the London Colney training ground.
After returning to Arsenal duty after holiday, having featured for La Furia Roja at Euro 2016, Bellerin tweeted: "Nice to be back at home."
