Having plants in the house is awesome. It will purify the air, protect you from dust and the best thing about them is that plants will bring positive energy into your home. Do you know what’s Feng Shui? Many people around the world are interested in Feng Shui principles for interior design. This is why I decided to follow its basic guidelines regarding our choice of colors, furniture, decorations and plants as well as their position in our home. First, let me say a few words about Feng Shui:
What is Feng Shui?
Let me answer this question for you – what’s Feng Shui? Well, Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese technique that examines the interaction of people and their environment that has been practiced for thousands of years. Did you know that the words Feng and Shui actually mean “wind and water”, signifying the invisible powers in heaven and the flow of energy of the Earth? It strives to help you bring balance and harmony into your surroundings by applying the principles of the natural flow of energy.
You should also know that the Feng Shui technique is based on the principle that all living and non-living things exist in the realm of the endless Universe that pulses with chi, or the life force. “Chi” is a good, uplifting, renewing kind of energy that benefits our health.
Regarding our living environment, our choice of objects as well as our decision where to place them greatly affects the overall quality of our lives and our well-being.
Plants and flowers can be very important in attracting the Chi energy to work for your benefit.
As we mentioned before, the indoor plants give us oxygen, clean the air from dust and other toxic materials and protect us from harmful electromagnetic fields from our electronic equipment. They bring beauty and positive energy to our homes and reconnect us with Nature.
Many Feng Shui experts around the world say that all evergreen plants radiate good energy that positively affects all areas of life, especially the area of business. And they also say that one of the most popular plants, for which is believed that it can bring good luck, wonderful friendships and material wealth is Crassula Ovata, also known as Jade Plant, Lucky Plant, Money Plant, Pink Joy and Dollar Tree. You will love this plant, not only because it is beautiful, but because it is very resilient and easy to look after.
What kind of a plant is Crassula Ovata or Jade Plant?
You should know that this beautiful and evergreen plant is native to Africa, but it has become a very popular and well-loved houseplant all over the world. Its beautiful jade-green leaves are oval-shaped and resemble coins. They are thick, glossy and smooth and they store water. You should also know that Crassula can produce small white or pink flowers that resemble stars in early spring. Note: depending on the level of sunlight, the leaves can get a pretty red color on their edges.
