Mr. Dipo Olayoku has called President Muhammed Buhari to give life to Section 5 of the 1999 Constitution as amended vests the Executive powers of the country in him (the President). This he can exercise directly or through anybody.

Nigerians would have wished that the bitter experience of fuel scarcity and its ripple effects had gone with PDP. I wish President Buhari knew the damage that fuel issue(s) can do to his glowing image before Nigerians. Now is the time for him to put a permanent end to the discomfort Nigerians are going through because of the ongoing fuel palava

As a matter of urgency, President Buhari should announce Dr. Ibe Kachiku as the substantive Minister of Petroleum, and appoint a Minister of State for Petroleum., to assist him. Also, the President should without delay, appoint a technocrat in the mould of Dr. Ibe Kachiku as the GMD of NNPC.

Whatever is the reason for the President to make himself the Minister of Petroleum can still be achieved, even if Dr. Kachiku is the substantive Minister.

Mr. President, act now. Delay might be dangerous.
