Watford’s Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo has sealed a deal with Multichoice Nigeria as their brand ambassador after he signed his contract recently at the company’s corporate headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Super Eagles forward is expected to feature in a soon to be launched DSTV campaign ‎which includes TV, Out-of-home, digital, radio, press adverts and make special guest appearances at major DSTV events amongst other activities.

Speaking on the choice of Odion Jude Ighalo, Multichoice Nigeria’s managing director John Ugbe welcomed the former Granada and Udinese man into the family adding that his zest and brilliant accomplishments as a footballer, locally and internationally, made him a perfect fit for the brand.

John Ugbe said: “From his humble beginnings of playing football on the streets of Ajegunle to scoring big on the international scene, the Odion Ighalo success story is one that deeply resonates with the brand. We believe his energetic displays and results‎ on the pitch will inspire Nigerians as they work on achieving their dreams.”

On his part, Ighalo expressed his delight on the partnership. He said: “I am part of the Multichoice family. Growing up we couldn’t afford to have DSTV in our house, so I used to pay to watch football at viewing centres. It is a dream come true and I am looking forward to this new relationship with Multichoice.”
